Oscar Wilde 1854-1900

Oscar Wilde, the great dramatist and poet, died in a shabby hotel room in Paris.
Reputedly his last words were, "Either that wallpaper goes, or I do."

I am sure those weren't actually his last words! Are they yours? Very funny if so.

As I was not there at the deathbed, I have no way to verify this as Oscar Wilde's last words, but it is widely held to be true. And certainly in keeping with his life, his wit, and his attitude towards the seemingly frivolous. Thanks for the lovely compliment. Would that I could guarantee that at my last gasp, I would have the wit and presence of mind to offer up something equally light and memorable.
